1. What is the status of the data (registered user and event log) in case of power failure?

Everything will be saved both on the memory of standalone unit and server Database. In case of failure of standalone or server PC, all data can be downloaded or uploaded through LAN.

2. Can you register different fingers for one person?

Yes, you can register up to 5 fingerprints for each person.

3. UV can kill germs. How do you prove it works so that there is no law issue involved?

We already applied FDA now. It is still under development. It is not a final product yet. Germs or bacteria can not live without certain condition especially in dry environment. They are also on money, or door or counter etc.. It is not an issue only for finger print reader.

4. Could it work with other readers?

Yes, we will have Wiegand connection from July 2007. The unit itself not only can by itself but also work with other access control system as a reader.

5. How to use the server software and client software? What are the advantages?

The database is in server. Other than that, the server software is same as client software. The advantages are:
1). User management on site or off site.
2). Schedule setup.
3). Control door locally or remotely.
4). Multi sites management.
5). Search the event, save or print report.
6). Real time monitoring.

6. How to register user on client software or server software?

Very easy. You need a USB fingerprint reader connecting the server or client PC. Open the program and follow the instructions.

7. What is the failure rate?

FRA 0.1%, FAA: 0.01%. It is on the user manual.

8. What if the unit is damaged - the door will be opened or locked?

Default setting, door will be locked.

9. It is said that if the unit detects high temperature, the door will be opened. Then bad guy will heat the unit and the door will be opened.

This only applies to the electric lock system such as 450FP. There is a sensor built inside lock which only detects the temperature inside the house. If it is higher than 55°C, the lock will be opened automatically.

10. Where could we find the installation manual?

Installation manual is in the CD which comes with the whole package. It is also available in our web site.

11. Can I connect with other input sensors or output devices?

It is possible to connect each other through RS232 or Wiegand.

12. How to use the intercom function? Could I connect with video door phone system?

4000 and 3000 series are connected with intercom but not video phone. There is connector and line back side terminal.

13. How many events can be saved?

Default memory is 4MB. It can hold upto 12,000 number of events in the standalone unit. For the server, the size of DB is 1.6G. It is a lot more.
